Every job is different, but there are some key choices that typically make the biggest difference to the final result:
Design for real world usage:
Multi-car parking, turning circles and bin access often matter more than people expect. Getting the layout right early on avoids awkward manoeuvres and tyre wear later.
Get the levels right:
Neat transitions at garage thresholds, steps and pavements are key to making a driveway feel “high-end”.
Don’t guess drainage:
If the lie of the land creates low points, plan for it up front. It’s far easier and cleaner than trying to fix pooling after the surface is finished.
It can be difficult to know what’s right for your driveway at first. However, a survey by our team will highlight any considerations that need to be made so you can make informed choices that suit your needs.
We provide the full package of driveway installation services, from design, planning and excavation through to the finished surface and final touches.

If you’re not sure what’s best for your property, we’ll talk you through the pros and cons during the survey.
Our family led team has been installing driveways in Leeds for over 15 years and we take great pride in the work we do.
That means:
We see your driveway as part of your home, rather than just the land around it, and take the same level of care outside as we would inside.

We were appointed by Verus Construction to complete the tarmac base and UV-stable resin surfacing over a large area at this property in Leeds.
The scale of this installation required a different approach to most residential properties in order to keep the finish seamless. This included increased manpower, two mixers running simultaneously, and a 10-person team to maintain continuous laying. The resin installation was completed within a 6-hour window, keeping output consistent and avoiding stop-start joins.

For this Horsforth home, the owners wanted a modern look to match wider improvements to the property.
After several site visits and planning, we installed a two-tone UV-stable resin bound finish, integrated lighting to both sides of the drive, and built front and rear bullnose steps. The end result was a clean, modern frontage with improved safety and kerb appeal after dark.

Leeds has many older drainage networks, and council guidance specifically encourages limiting the amount of rainwater entering drains as increased rainfall entering the system contributes to localised flooding. As such, permeable or well-drained driveway designs are often a smart choice for front gardens in Leeds.
There’s also a practical, day-to-day benefit: managing surface water properly helps reduce puddling and the risk of winter related issues caused by freezing and thawing water.
To address this, we assess falls, thresholds and low points as standard.
Most homeowners don’t want paperwork delays. The good news is that UK guidance is clear: you generally don’t need planning permission for a new or replacement driveway if you use a permeable surface, or if water drains to a permeable area such as a lawn or border. Planning permission may be needed where traditional impermeable surfacing is used over more than 5m² and doesn’t provide suitable run-off to a permeable area.
We’ll discuss this during the site survey and recommend an approach that suits your property layout.
If you want a driveway that suits your home and performs properly no matter the weather, start with a free site survey. We’ll advise on layout, falls, drainage and finish options, then provide a fixed written quote.
